Objectives (da statuto)

ARTICLE 2 – Aims

The Association operates and works inside the limits of the dictated normative of the Decree of the Ministry of Health issued on 31.5.2004 (necessary requisites for all scientific societies and tecnico-scientific associations of the health professions) published on the Gazzetta Ufficiale della Repubblica Italiana n. 153 dated 2.7.2004, it is a no-profit association, and it does not promote union protection of its members or, in any way, the execution, directly or indirectly, of union activities nor does it promote entrepreneurial activities or participation thereof, except for those strictly necessary for the implementation of professional training activities.

The Association wishes to aid and perform promotional activities, continuing professional training and development (in line with the ECM system designed by the Ministry of Health and by the Regions), study and research activities in the medical, physiotherapical and veterinary fields, both in Italy and abroad, based on the individual experiences of its Associates or of other institutions or scholars, who may wish to join, even temporarily, the activities promoted by the Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Regions, the health enterprises and all other public health institutions and structures.

Other institutional objectives of the Association:

  • Elaboration of guidelines, in collaboration with the Agenzia per I Servizi Sanitari Regionali (A.S.S.R) and F.I.S.M.
  • Promotion of study trials and scientific research, as well as establishing collaboration relationships with other societies/associations and scientific organisations.
  • Permanent professional updates and training activities for its associates, through ECM annual programs of continuing education.

Teaching Methods (Didactic Methodology)

In activating a continuing education program it was privileged a theorico-practical didactic methodology, centred on learning and on the possibility for students to study new application modalities in their specific professional fields, integrating KOWLEDGE and KNOWING WHAT TO DO.  Our formative activities are dedicated for at least 50% to simulated practice and/or with patients, both for human and veterinary PHYSIOTHERAPY and REHABILITATION, under strict guidance of the teacher and/or tutor of choice.  Significative relevance is also given to the final student evaluation and to their rating of the Course as a whole, using forms for evaluating and monitoring the teaching, tests and questionnaires to check the rate of learning of the students as well as their rating of the learning experience as a whole.  All of the proposed activities are closely monitored by the Scientific Committee who may notice discrepancies and/or deliberate on specific amendments (modifications).
